Quincy Carter is a former NFL quarterback and elite multi-sport athlete with a distinguished career at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. A standout at Southwest DeKalb High School, he led his team to the 1995 AAAA Georgia State Championship and finished his prep career with 4,450 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, 1,489 rushing yards, and 32 rushing touchdowns. His excellence earned him USA Today Georgia Player of the Year honors and Parade All-American recognition. In 2023, he was inducted into the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame for his impact on the sport. 

Carter continued his success at the University of Georgia, where he became the first freshman starting quarterback in 53 years. He was named SEC Freshman of the Year, earned All-SEC honors twice, and passed for 2,484 yards, the fourth-highest single-season total in school history at the time. Known for efficiency and decision-making, he set a school record for interception percentage and held the longest streak in SEC history of consecutive passes without an interception. He was also drafted in the second round of the 1996 MLB Draft and played three seasons in the Chicago Cubs organization. 

In the NFL, Carter was selected 53rd overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2001 NFL Draft and made history as the first rookie quarterback drafted in the second round to start Week One. He led the Cowboys to a 10–6 record and a playoff appearance in 2003, becoming only the fifth quarterback in franchise history to throw for over 3,000 yards in a season. He also earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors three times and later contributed to the New York Jets during a playoff push. Today, Quincy Carter serves as the Head Football Coach at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia, bringing championship experience and elite quarterback knowledge to the next generation of athletes.
